It’s Not Just In Your Head is a national campaign to educate the public about menopause and why it’s essential to know what is happening to women’s bodies during this transition. While menopause is commonly thought to be hot flashes that happen to women in their late 40s and early 50s, it is actually a multi-phased, years-long experience that can start at any age and include a wide variety of symptoms including anxiety, fatigue, depression, joint pain, low libido, urinary tract infections, weight gain and much more. In addition to possible physical, emotional, cognitive, and long term health impacts, there are also societal and workplace implications for women during this transition.
Let’s Talk Menopause envisions a world in which menopause is broadly understood and comprehensive menopause care is standard. Started by a group of women who struggled with navigating their menopause journey, this national nonprofit is working to change the conversation around the end of women’s reproductive years through education and advocacy.
F.Y. Eye helped promote Let’s Talk Menopause’s campaign by obtaining donated and discounted ad space in New York Magazine, taxi toppers, 200 NYC subway ads and F.Y. Eye’s own PSA Network. Our in-house creative team also created social media content, including a 15-second promotional motion graphic, to accompany the campaign.
