About the PSA

The pandemic has exacerbated financial distress and exploitation of Black and brown New Yorkers—particularly women, older adults, and immigrants. The NYC Financial Justice Hotline offers free legal advice to low-income NYC residents, in English and Spanish, to help New Yorkers resolve a wide range of financial justice issues, from discriminatory and abusive debt collection to unfair banking, credit reporting, and more. This PSA is now available in English and Spanish.

New Economy Project has operated the NYC Financial Justice Hotline since 2005, helping thousands of New Yorkers resolve financial justice issues and address longstanding structural inequities.
