About the PSA:
An important aspect of achieving zero waste is the separation of our food waste from “trash”. The Composting in NYC PSA makes the link between vermin and black trash bags while demonstrating the ease of composting.
About Manhattan SWAB:
Created in 1989 under NYC’s Local Law 19, the Manhattan Solid Waste Advisory Board (MSWAB) advances ideas, insights, and initiatives to achieve NYC’s Zero Waste x 2030 goal. An all-volunteer organization, we work in partnership with SWABs in other boroughs to educate NYC’s population by holding monthly meetings, sponsoring public forums, and providing testimony at public hearings.
