About the PSA:
Communities of color and low-income communities are disproportionately affected by the climate crisis. DoSomething.org has teamed up with climate activist Aditi Mayer to activate young people to advocate for climate justice in their communities. Given that only 20% of young people have a good understanding of climate injustice and environmental racism, DoSomething’s See Us, Hear Us campaign encourages young people to educate themselves on these systemic issues perpetuated by the ongoing climate crisis. Alongside Aditi, young people are invited to share how their community is or may be facing environmental racism, as well as their vision for a greener future. DoSomething is adding these stories to the first-ever “Youth Map of Climate Injustice,” which will be shared directly with the EPA.
